EASY, NO SEW, RUSTIC HALLOWEEN BANNER

I kind of threw this together from items I already had on hand. The idea was to make something to decorate my car for trunk-or-treat. It's very simple, and may not be something that stays together for a long period of time, but it goes together quickly, and is very cheap.
I ended up not using the yellow burlap. I cut triangles out of chevron burlap, and punched holes in two corners using a hole punch. Then I threaded jute string through, so the the string was behind the flag. I knotted between each flag once. Then I cut out 4 "boo!!"'s from the jute ribbon. I stapled the "boo!!" on up high with the string to help everything stay in place.

I realize I have one that has the pattern going the other way! So you guys can learn from my mistake! Maybe it will bug me enough to fix it, maybe not!

Happy Halloween!

Heritage Pendants

Heritage Pendants
You will need these supplies. You can get the blanks at most craft stores. I printed off distressed flags that represent my heritage, and a motherhood celtic knot. I put dots in the heart to represent my children in the color of their birthstones using markers (just the basic ones my kids have).

Trace around the blanks. I ended up using larger pictures.
Cut them out on the inside of your line. If there is a little overlap when dry, they can still be trimmed up.
Put a thin layer of the mod podge on the blank. Place the picture. Mod podge the back of the picture. Dry upside down for about 45 minutes.
They are finished! I'm not sure exactly what I'll use mine to make. Perhaps a bracelet. I plan to make a necklace with the knot. It's kind of my new favorite thing!

Steampunk Trinket Box
I used a baby food container and washi tape.
I covered the container in the tape.
Then I used mod podge to keep the tape on the plastic.
I selected various decorations from the jewelry making and scrapbook sections of the craft store. I chose a "journey" theme.
I printed a picture from a google search titled "steampunk zeppelin art"
I mod podged on the picture, and super glued the rest.

Voila!! A place for all your steampunk treasures! The only disappointment with this project was how shiny/new the finished product looked. I would have liked it to look old. Fun, and simple project!
Welcome to my new blog! I needed a place to put tutorials for crafts I pin on Pinterest! So here's to cramming some creativity into your day whether you've got time for it or  not!
